Wrapping a Headpin

Materials:
2 Headpins
2 8mm Beads
2 Earwires
2 Beadcaps
Chain nose pliers
Round nose pliers
Wire cutters

Step 1. Place a 8mm bead and a beadcap on your headpin.

Step 2. Now grip the wire with the tip of your chain nose pliers close to the beadcap. Then make a 90° (degree) bend using your finger to bend the wire.

Step 3. Now remove your chain nose pliers and pick up the round nose pliers. Place the round pliers right at the 90° ( degree) bend. Holding the earring so that the longer piece of wire is pointing to the right, form the wire over the top of the round nose pliers making a half loop with your finger. Gently push down on the tail end of the wire with your finger.

Step 4. Remove the round nose pliers and place the bottom section of the pliers into the half loop. Grab the tail of the wire and pull it around the pliers completing the loop.

Step 5. Now remove the round nose pliers from the loop, hold the chain nose pliers in your dominant hand. Grip the loop firmly and began wrapping. Pull the tail end around the stem wire. You should get 3 wraps. After you have made the wraps cut the wire as close to the bead with flush cutters as you can, tweak the cut end with your chain nose pliers. Then open up the loop on your earwire and place the wrapped drop onto the earring loop. Close earring loop
